Dadaslasdudas

Exhibición realizada conjuntamente con Verónica Luyo presentada en la galería Juan Pardo Heeren del IPCNA en el marco del Concurso de Arte Contemporáneo 2020, Lima 2020.

Dadaslasdudas is a generative sound sculpture whose resonance chambers reproduce stereo sound  sequences through four speakers placed at its ends. Each speaker emits a slightly different sound sequence that becomes asynchronous over time due to varying durations.Beating is perceived in listening as an oscillation or pulsation that emphasizes the singular character of the sonic event, resulting exclusively from interaction. Specifically, from the juxtaposition of two elements that are “simultaneously similar and a bit different,” a sonic characteristic valued in instrument construction, part of acoustic aesthetics, and a reflection of the Andean worldview.
